Upgrade Load Balancing 11 Line Speedy Menjadi 21 Line ….

Dengan semakin meningkatnya pengguna internet di FKUB maka teamTIK-FKUB mengajukan tambahan koneksi speedy ke Pak Dekan.. alhamdulillah sudah di acc untuk penambahan 9 line speedy baru@2Mbps paket speedy coorporate bulk. Sebagai catatan sebelumnya FKUB sudah  memiliki 9 line speedy @2Mbps Paket Office + 2 Line Speedy Free @1Mbps dari telkom.

Pada awal tahun 2012 ini telkom memberikan disc yang cukup menarik dimana kalau sebelumnya speedy 2Mbps yang Paket Office biaya per bulan adalah 1.1jt/bln termasuk ppn, sekarang ada paket Speedy Coorporate Bulk 2Mbps yang memberikan disc sampai 35% dari paket Speedy Office. Sehingga dengan hanya menambah biaya langganan 26% akan mendapatkan tambahan b/w 100%.

Kondisi sekarang 11 line speedy di load balancing dengan menggunakan teknologi Vlan yang ada didalam  Switch 3CBLSG16 Baseline Switch 2916SFP ( 16 port gigabit ) dengan load balancing engine OpenBSD. OpenBSD dipilih karena waktu menggunakan PF di FreeBSD ternyata saat load balancing 9 line speedy normal tidak ada masalah, akan tetapi saat jumlah line dinaikkan menjadi 11 line hehehee kernel Piknik (Panic). kemudian digunakan PF di OpenBSD dimana PF merupakan port asli kepunyaan OpenBSD… alhamdulillah lancar….

Dengan bertambahnya line speedy yang terpasang maka jumlah port di Switch 3com tidak cukup, dilakukan penggantian ke switch HP ProCurve V1700-24 yang memiliki 22 port 10/100 Mbps dan 2 port 10/100/1000Mbps. Selain penggantian switch hub juga dilakukan penataan kembali Rack Server ABBA 42U karena ada penambahan 9 Modem baru yang harus masuk kedalam Rack Server, dengan bantuan temen-temen bengkel disebelah ruangan maka bisa dibuatkan tatakan untuk tempat modem ( credit to Bengkel O-Q ).

Modem sudah dipasang, 20 modem colok langsung ke dalam Switch Hub truss masing-masing port di set VLAN nya mulan Vlan 10, 20, 30 s/d Vlan 200 dan ada tambahan 1 Vlan 210, dimana selain 20 Speedy jalur dari Universitas juga saya masukkan kedalam Load Balancing ini jadi total ada 21 Link. Kemudian dari port gigabit colok langsung ke OpenBSD, port ini sudah diset member dari seluruh VLAN yang ada, tinggal setting Vlan di OpenBSDnya dimana Interface yang menghadap ke Switch dibuatkan Sub-Interface Vlannya, jadi secara fisik hanya ada 2 buah ethernet yang terpasang, tapi total ada 23 Interface dan 23 IP didalam OpenBSD, ini contohnya

bisa sudah kemudian tinggal di buatkan script PF nya yang menggabungkan semua koneksi yang ada, metode load balancing di PF OpenBSD menggunakan RoundRobbin, jadi permintaan akan disebar keseluruh koneksi yang ada. Jadi waktu dulu masih 9 line 2 Mbps + 2 line 1 Mbps total = 20 Mbps traffic harian di FKUB bisa mencapai 16Mbps. Semoga dengan menambah 9 Line baru ini ( total 18 Speedy 2Mbps + 2 Speedy 1 Mbps = 38 Mbps)  target bandwith FKUB 34 Mbps Speedy + 6 Mbps dari Univ total Menjadi 40 Mbps tercapai Amienn…….

Gak saya paste Semua dehh.. panjang…. bayangkan kalau yang 21 line hehehee.. semakin puanjanggggg……

Bila semua configurasi sudah terpasang dan bisa dijalankan maka tinggal colok komputer ke interface yang satunya dan silahkan browsing…. di jamin Manteff…. di test menggunakan Internet Download Manager bisa Tembus 4MBps yaa lumayan lahhh….Lumayan untuk biaya Mini hasil yang cukup Maksi

Ohhh .. yaaa model Load Balancing ini mempunyai kelemahan, dimana bila koneksinya membutuhkan dedicated connection kayak Yahoo Messenger, rapidshare, dan beberapa situs lainnya terganggu, soalnya dia berangkat rekuest pakek speedy1 tapi dilain waktu menjawabnya memakai speedy 14, karena di anggap beda IP maka koneksi di putus. Paling kerasa Yahoo Messenger jadi putus nyambung, rapidshare gak bisa di koneksi. Situs HTTPS juga terganggu.. hehehehee..

Tapi karena FKUB juga ada jatah b/w dari Universitas maka jalur load balancing ini hanya saya gunakan untuk browsing murni, sedang service lainnya lewat jalur universitas ( sorry jadi buka Kartu disini hehehehee… mugo2 gak disenen’i karo Bos Ratnoo…. ) dimana untuk koneksi ini saya gunakan transparent proxy dimana koneksi yang mengarah ke port 80,8080,3128 dan beberapa port browsing lainnya dilewatkan Load Balancing ini.
